Hot stamping is a key process in the post-press processing of paper printed packaging project  , which can greatly enhance the added value of printed packaging product , however , in the actual production process, due to the workshop environment, improper operation and other problems, it is easy to caused failure hot stamping . we have sorted out the 9 major hot stamping problems for everyone packaging manufactuer and give solutions for your reference.

01 hot stamping is not strong .

The main reason 1: the hot stamping temperature is low or the pressure is light.

Solution 1: re-adjust the hot stamping temperature and pressure;

02: In the printing process, due to the ink added to the excessive dry oil surface , so that the ink layer surface drying too fast to produce crystallization which caused hot stamping foil hot stamping.

Solution 2: First of all, try to prevent the occurrence of crystallization when printing; Secondly, if crystallization occurs, hot stamping foil can be removed, printed surface can be air-pressed again under heating to destroy the crystallized layer before hot stamping.

3: In the ink to add a waxy withdrawal agent, anti-adhesive or nondry oily substances will also produce hot stamping is not strong.

Solution 3: First, stick a layer of absorbent paper on the printing plate and press it again, adsorb the wax and non-oil on the base color ink layer, and then carry out hot stamping operation.

02 The pictures and texts of hot stamping are weak and dizzy

The main reason 1: hot stamping temperature is too high. If the hot stamping temperature of the printing plate is too high, so that the hot stamping foil exceeds the limit that it can bear, at this time, the hot stamping foil will expand around, resulting in dizziness and weakness.

Solution 1: The temperature must be adjusted to a suitable range according to the characteristics of the hot stamping foil.

Main reason 2: hot stamping foil coking. For hot stamping foil coking, it is mainly due to the long shutdown in the hot stamping process, so that a part of the hot stamping foil is in contact with the electric heating high-temperature printing plate for a long time and the phenomenon of thermal coking occurs, and the picture and text will faint after hot stamping.

Solution 2: In the production process, if you stop the machine, you should lower the temperature, or remove the hot stamping foil. You can also put a piece of thick paper in front of the printing plate at a higher temperature to isolate the hot stamping foil from the printing plate.
